kindergartener won't use bathroom at school and has accidents also will not eat lunch

How can the parents and the teacher deal with the problem stated: child cries as the day progresses, will not defacate or urinate at school and has accidents; will not eat her lunch because it is cold food

Are there other issues as no speaking or little social interaction?  How is her behaviour at home?  at other social events?  Are there tantrums and frustration episodes, especially after returning from school?  Does she go to bed easily at night and rise in the morning without major incidents?

Thank you for asking.  No, all other aspects of her life are normal so far.  She is happy at home and has actually had to learn not to speak when the teacher is talking.  She likes her teacher.  She has just turned five and may find all day kindergarten too much.  Her parents are concerned that maybe she is not ready for the damands of this all day program.  As the grandmother, I agree.

It sounds as if the school is causing her stress.  I was wondering if she was suffering from an anxiety disorder, but that appears not to be the case.  Nonetheless, school is causing her extreme stress and I tend to agree with your summation - she is just not ready for a all-day school program.
