lumps in both breasts of my 14 yr old son

My 14 yr old son has had Torrettes and ADHD since age 5 and has been on meds since the diagnosis.  Recently he has noticed a lump (smaller than a grape) behind each nipple.  You can not pull the skin away from the lump.  There is no pain at all he claims.  He has been very thin his entire life and so far the lumps are not causing his nipples to protrude at all but he worries they may start to.  I've been reading that they may from his age/puberty.  Can you please offer me any suggestions as to what these lumps could be.

Many boys develop a condition called gynecomastia during Stage 3 (which is the stage your son happens to be) of the development of characteristics of sexual maturity. Lumps of the type you describe are common indications of this condition. While this is a likely possibility, it is important to have your son examined by his pediatrician, because gynecomastia is not the only possible explanation for the lumps.
