my 13 years old son

My son is a good kid.. but he doesn't like doing homework and when he does it he does it so fast just to get it over with... like he won't try hard just because he wants to get it over with... he falls behind a lot... And sometimes he doesn't even know what the homework is... some other times when he doesn't know how to do it.. he just don't do it... he does not ask... he has a hard time to sleep.. and hard to wake him up and i feel like he does not have the sense of time..., he will be so slow in the morning... I get so stressed over what he does and today he actually cried cuz he felt my stress because of him... he has like couple of B's  couple of A's and F in history and D in math he said the math is going too fast for him and he asked me if he could move to a lower class when he was a proficient in math last year I know he is smart if he cares more I know he will be doing much better... should I take his Xbox away from him till he catch up with his work? whats the best way to deal with him??

I don't think the issue is that your son doesn't care about school.  He told you "the math was going too fast for him" which tells me he is struggling at school.   What does the teacher say?  Should he be in a different class where the work would be more suited to his learning style?  Maybe a tutor is what is required.  Of course, limiting computer games and TV (not totally removing) might also help.  But first - talk to his teachers ....
