my 21 month old is out of control

my son is wild very very wild he gets into things throws it everywhere then when i go to clean up that mess hes on to another one so countiually all day im chasing him around picking up his messes and keeping him safe is ther any suggestions on something to keep him entertained i must add he has every toy in the world our house is one big toy box and no we dont have cable cause we dont watch much tv

You may want to start by getting rid of a lot of the toys.  If children are overstimulated they act up.  Also if they have all of those toys many times they do not ever learn to respect what they have...It doesn't matter if something gets wrecked because there is something new to play with.  I would take all toys out of the living room;kitchen(if there are some);all rooms other than his room and a toy room if you have one.  Then stick to your guns.  The toy room can be a little messy and get picked up at the end of the day.  Make him help you.  Your home shouldn't be a toy box though.  Are you doing anything for discipline?  If he makes a mess HE should have to pick it up with help from you.

I agree with redneck....u have to start earley with discipline , and he dose not need so much toys....i have 4 boys and im a sham...if u dont start now u will be picking up after him for years...make a game out of picking up his toys....i used to  do the time game...look at my watch and see how long it took them to get  the toys picked up...bening boys thay loved the comptison....any way good luck and be consestnt.....

i finally get a minute cause my boy is sleeping yes there are toys everywhere in the kitchen there is 4 bikes and many many trucks he has more toys then my other 3 kids combined and hes only 22 months old i think you are right about to much stimulition and the respect what they got so im gonna start clearing out stuff slowly so he dosent freak thanks for the info
