my 6yearold is struggling in class

my 6 year old is struggling with work in class and also he plays with rubbers and pencils not all the time but he is not paying attention so the teacher says his reading is fantasic and his homework is good too but sometimes he does not complete a task in school i  know what there trying too say but it sounds like as if he has adhd or add i know in my heart he doesnt he is not a violent child or hyperactive child sometimes i think teachers take to much out of text books  i think my son is just bored and a bit slower than the other children i know when i was young i was not  very good a reading but i got there  were do you think i shoud take this i have a doctors appointment appointment  but why should i judge my son when everything is fine but not for his teachers so hypercritical what do they expect from 6 years old.
