my DR.said it may be landau-kleffner syndrome whar is it ?

our 25mo little girl has siezures and since she started to heve them she has almost stopped learning new words he is concerned she may have landau-kleffner syndrome but she has had 2 normal eegs. on the other hand she acts as if she can not her you even though her hearing test showed no hearing loss, she has no  intrest in books nor does she try to repeat back words of pictures if she ask what it is, she also has a temper sometimes if she gets mad she will hit her head on the wall, oreven thtv, she bits our dalmations tail, ear and hits and throws things at us as hard as she can and just laughs at us in the process. is this normal behavier for a 2 yr or are they just a little overly concerned.

Dear Kaitelynn,

No, this does not represent normal behavior for a two-year-old. As you probably know, Landau-Kleffner Syndrome is a form of childhood epilepsy. Symptoms include seizures, expressive language problems, difficulty with comprehension and behavioral difficulties.

Please follow up on your doctor's recommendations. They do not represent an overreaction.
