my daughter is scared to sleep alone

my daughter is scared to sleep alone

My daughter never sleeps alone, I try my best I sleep next to her until she sleeps, and in the midnight she always wake up and run to my bed. If I put her back to her bed she keeps doing that all the night. I need to find a solution to make her sleep alone in her room. What should I do?

From programs I have seen they always say to return the child to their room.  They say to do this as many times as necessary and to not interact with the child.
They say to establish a good bedtime routine that is consistent.  Bath, read story, etc.
They also say to remove distractions from the room.
I don't know and I have no experience with this.  I think in order to minimize any potential emotional damage though that I would offer a lot of reassurance, consider leaving a hallway light on and leaving the door ajar.  A reward system may work well for your daughter.  For every night she sleeps in her own bed reward her with a star (and praise her).  At the end of the week or whatever reward the stars with something tangible.  You may also like to look at taking things away as a deterrent.  ??
I think rewards have more benefits than punishments.

You need to let your daughter go to bed alone too.  Talk to her and explain it but follow through and be consistent.

It will be interesting to read the advice the expert gives.

Good luck!
