my eight year old doesnt eat enough

my eight year old daughter is a very slow eater, she always begins dinner before anybody else and is always the last to get up, she is never able to eat a complete meal, my other 5 year old daughter seems to eat twice as much as her. they both get a multi vitamin daily and a cup of milk with cocoa or chocalate with there meal. my daughter otherwise seems healthy although very skinny, it is the same at breakfast times and her school lunch barely gets nibbled on.give her a candy or something and its gone quick smart but when it comes to real food we just cant get it down her! she's not very picky as to what she eats just the amount she eats and the time it takes!! dinner times get very frustrating when she is still at the table and everyone else has long gone.please help, what can we do???
thanks
a very concerned parent
Tony

It use to take me an hour to eat my food and everyone would get so mad because they would be waiting on me. I wasn't a picky eater either just took my time. I say let her eat at her own pace when she starts school she will learn to eat a little faster as she won't have as much time to eat. I say limit sweets if you don't think she ate enough at dinner. I have always heard it is better to eat slower.
