my four year old is acting out strangely.

my four year old son is showing new anger and misbehavior issues. this just started a few weeks ago when i started dated a new guy and he moved in with me and my family. this is the first guy ive dated in a long time. my son is used to it being just me, him, my grandma and grandpa and my two brothers. my son is back talking, demanding things his way, raising his fist at us and screaming in difiance everytime he doesnt get his way. normally he is very well behaved and does not do these things. i dont know what to do. or what is making him act this way. is it possible that having this new man around is making my child feel threatened? he hits the man and yells at him most of the time. he does play with him some times but not often. if me and the man are sitting next to eachother my son wants to get in the middle and move him away from me. my son refuses to tell me what is wrong. when me and my son are by ourselves he is my sweet lil boy again. i feel it might be because there is a new man in the equazion. what should i do? please help any advice would be great

Don't expect your son to respect you having a new man in your life.  All he (the new man) represents to your son is that you don't have as much time for him as you used to, and the guy has full access to you whenever he wants it and your son no longer does.  (There's a reason Dr. Laura tells callers not to date until their kids are 18.)  Why is it that the guy has to live with you, your grandparents and your brothers?  Isn't he a grownup with his own life (and his own money)? --  if not, what are you doing with him?  It doesn't sound like you need another person to take care of.
