my son is 4 &is acting up in school,how can i get him to follow instructions,&the routine?

hello my son is 4 first time in a preschool setting and keeps breaking the rools!for instance,today i hade to pick him up 2 hours early because he wouldn't stop being disruptive,standing on tables,taking his shoes off,throwing toys!the other kids were playing with beads,and he cep messing up there stuff,the teacher tryed everything and finally had to call me!its the second week of school;and every day it was something else,throwing sand in the sand box,runing into to other kids on the cycles,not siting for sercle time,WOW.see and at home he knows how to be have,and he knows all that orneriness is not ok,please help me,i just want him to be calm and follow the rools at school.....

It may be that he is not ready for this program, that he requires too much individual management. However, if the school personnel are prepared to adhere to a set of guidelines about managing behavior, he may well do better than he is doing. The guidelines are detailed in Lynn Clark's book SOS Help for Parents (you should follow them at home as well) (see www.sosprograms.com).
