my son just plays all day

My son is going to be a senior this year, but he did really bad last year I don't think he is going to graduate from High School. He stopped working a few month ago, all that he wants to do is play with his XBOX. I have told him he can not play and he tells me I can't take his game away from him because he bought it. I don't know what to do. He doesn't want to listen. Please give some advice.

You can take it so do so....it is your house ,you are the parent you take back control as a parent if this affects his life and career which would you rather do, so during the week no xbox till the weekends and all homework and extra to catch up is done .If you want him to pullup,you have to get tough.Has he a Dad around as enlist his help, when he is at school you remove it let him have it when all work is done.,probably weekends ,its up to you not him you are the parent ., just do it you will be glad you did.
