It sounds like a night terror to me. My son has had a few and it's unnerving to watch. I don't know if you can do anything to prevent them. I think it may be a phase that some kids go through and will eventually grow out of.
we are trying to make an appointment to the doctor but i still don't know what happen to that, because his dad was the one calling them.. i tried the web and i can't open it. does that doctor has his own website.... thank you for caring. i really appreciate it.
Hi, this sounds just like my youngest daughter who is 6. She started having "night terrors" about a year or so ago, they seem to come in phases, she can go ages without having one then she will have one every night for about a week. She never remembers them. I have no idea what to do when she is in the middle of one, she doesn't seem to know me and doesn't seem to hear me, sometimes she is coherent other times she makes no sense at all. None of my other children have done this. I don't know whether its just an overactive imagination that manifests during sleep. I think that as long as they are not hurting themselves and they don't remember it the next day it may just be one of those things that they will eventually grow out of. If you do find any info out I'd love to know. Thanks
Have you talked to his pediatrician about it?
I did a quick search and here's a Medelp post and reply from a while ago about this:

I hope it works for you.
If it doesn't, do a search for "night terrors" (use the search box towards the top right of this page) and you should get a list of posts you can read through.
All the best to you.
