out of control 4 year old

My granddaughter 4 can scream for hours kick a door until her toes bleed will stay up all night is driving her parents to a point where they are not able to deal with this for much longer they love her but they are not doing well. where can they seek help as Childs Dr. not helpful.

Why would she kick a door is she shut in a room by herself ? Can you give us more to go on, she is upset about something can you enlarge on her routine if shes at daycare/school, any siblings ...

highly recommend a child psychiatrist for evaluation....and melatonin for sleep.....works like a charm.   at 4 my daughter took 1/4 og a 500 mcg chewable melatonin because otherwise she never slept. It was recommended by a pediatrician.
My daughter is now 6.....has severe ADHD and possibly childhood bipolar.
I know exactly what you mean by the family is not doing well.  When  a child is not well like this, it affects everyone.  
My daughter has never slept much...is chonically constipated....has the terrible two's STILL GOING ON at 6.  
We once had a pediatrician who IGNORED our fears and issues about our daughter.  We asked around and found a female pediatrician and SWITCHED TO A NEW DOC !!  Maybe they should do this??   I have to say that we have had so much better luck if we can find female therapists, docs, etc for our daughter.  sorry to be sexist here, but they care more and do more than the male docs that we have seen....just my o2c.
