Ever since i can remember my son has been out of control. He is 8 now and it seems to be getting really really bad. I have come to the stage now where i just can't handle him anymore. He throws temper tantrums, trys to kill himself by choking his neck,he calls me and his Father really bad names curse's a lot, kicks me hits me ,say's he wishes we where dead ,the list goes on.
I just need someone to please tell me what to do with him,or do i need to take him to c someone.
Please help

This behavior is extreme and invites professional intervention. It would be irresponsible of me to suggest you attempt to manage this situation alone at home. Arrange an evaluation with a cclinical psychologist or other pediatric menatl health professional as soon as possible. Is there a family history of mood disorder (depression or biploar disorder)? It is very likely your son displays a biologically-based emotional disorder.

The fact that there is a family history of mood disorder places your son in at at-risk category for displaying such a condition, and his symptoms indicate that this might well be the case.
