potty training unsual behavior

We have potty trained our granddaughter to where she is getting good when we take her to the bathroom.
BUT when she has to go to the bathroom #2, she doesn't tell us nor daycare until after the fact or we check her.
We have caught her putting her hands in the back and getting them dirty. She has taken the poop out, I have heard, and she has also wiped her hands on  stuff. I am sure it is just for attention but should we be worried and what can we do to BREAK her of this? She just turned three. I am very concerned! Thank you!
