rage seizures

I have read a few stories about rage behavior. My son has Epilepsy. He was diagnosed in June, 2007. He had status epilepticus. Since then he has had complex partial seizures. Here is my sons behavior. He is 5 yrs old. Normally a very happy, huggy, out going, sweet boy. Back in November he stopped having seizures and this rage behavior started. He will be brought on by nothing or something very minor. It will come on all of a sudden and stop all of a sudden. He will kick, push, hit, spit me or my husband or other people in the way. He will call us mean and you made me do this. Or he will not say anything at all. He will have a mad/blank look on his face. A lot of times we know he is coming out of it because he starts to cry. He is sorry and he is back to, I love you and you're the best and hugging. Sometimes this can go on for a couple of hours while we try to calm him. Nothing works to calm him but we try anyway. This past Sat. we put him on Clonidine. This is suppose to calm him. He has been on it for 4 days.  I did not want him on this. I wish to take him off as soon as possible. He is on 600mg of Carbatrol for his seizures.
