If you're talking about a child who is seriously dangerous and violent,  I'd call the state school or state hospital near you.  They do training all the time for take down and restraint without injury.

This isn't really for defiance - it's for people who are punching and kicking and grabbing weapons.

Have you had a psych eval on her?

At a lot of the schools, they are taught to sit down with the student in their lap and hug their arms and put their legs over their legs as they cross their legs.  Some schools have a room for people to go to "chill out" and it's empty so they cannot destroy it or hurt anyone else.

There is a huge difference between defiant and hurting those around you.  Defiance at this age is not abnormal and there are a lot of ways to handle it.  Hurting (if physical) has several levels - and they are handled differently.  Essentially, you need to give us a bit more info about what she is doing.  Another very important question is - is she doing the same thing at school?
