ritalin for my daughter

ritalin for my daughter

My almost 5 year old daughter has a concerntration problem. her teachers at school are concerned. i have been sent to numerous doctors and specialists. we have been advised to put her on ritalin. both my husband and myself are not very happy to put her on ritalin. i would like to find out if there are any safe alternatives. i have given her various vitamins and i do not see any changes. what are my options, cause i really dont want her to struggle at school.

Hi, I just started my son on Ritalin and like you I'm nervous, but I've tried everything from herbal to therapy and nothing seemed to work. We read so much bad stuff about the medication, but you don't know how it will affect her until you try it.  Plus she needs to be diagnosed with something.  I called my son's teacher this morning and she said he was having a wonderful morning... I asked how he felt and he said he felt good.  I know we want the best for our children, but sometimes their is nothing we can do.... I'm happy for parents that their children show good signs with the OMEGA 3 Fish Oils pills or just basically simple disaplin, but like I said that didn' t work for me.

Good luck
