separation anxiety

by hemigirl25, Aug 29, 2008 06:40PM
My boyfriend has a 4 year old that seems to cry a lot for his mom either when he wakes up from a nap or when leaving her. Other than that he is a pretty happy child. What can be the problem for this? He comes for his usual every other weekend visit and he knows that he stays for 2 sleeps. But is this normal? This has just seem to get worse over the past few months. Can this be separation anxiety and how do we help him?

No, I do not think this is separation anxiety.  It's just a little boy who misses his mother. And, I think under the circumstances, totally normal.
