Why does children think more about sex than about their schol work?

I haven't heard of such thing. The only time i've heard about a 7 yr old girl curious about sex is when she was being molested by and unknown person. Not saying this isn't normal I've just never heard of it. I have a 7 year old son and he's still immature in a lot of ways when it comes to girls although I try to stay very open-minded with him and let him know it is completely normal to think a girl is pretty or cute. There are some girls he's said he likes but usually he doesn't know how to express those feelings are really unless I tell him what it is that he's feeling he really doesn't know so its hard to wrap my head around a child so young knowing anything about anything sexual unless their being exposed to it.
