similar patterns

my 6 year old son also behaves similarly .

He breaks into a mood swing . he will shout and scream and goes to his room a cries until we give in and go and
comfort him.

These moods swings started recently as recent as the last month; he will within seconds go quite and start to act tired and then start shouting and scream and run of to his room . The most recent one was to have a bath i did everything possible to help him to have a shower i told him he will feel fresh and ready for bed and then after the bath he starts off screaming that he feels worse and then goes into a mood swing screams shouts and runs off and cries.

Does he want to shower himself is that why he is sceaming afterwards, what is upsetting him ? Perhaps sending him to his room is making it worse, my thoughts are there seems to be a parent /child interaction problem ,has he had any new happenings in his life recently .?

IS anything going on at school, etc?  Does this happen daily or just every so often.
