sniffing and blinking

my 6 yr old son has started with blinking his eyes more than a month ago and then recently, sniffing.he has skin asthma, particularly ,dry skin around his eyes.before he started with the eye blinking,he had an eye infrction.the eye infection was resolved with the gp's prescribed eye antibiotic.but the blinking continued.we first thought that it could have been triggered by the eye problem until he started sniffing.ive explained to my husband that we need to try ignoring these tics as telling him off does not help.i really want to see a doctor about it but im afraid that they wont help us.latelly,my husband and i have been struggling financially and we have to leave my son to a friend so we can go to work.do you think it is the root of my son's tics?is he strssed about it?pls help, the more i do a research, the more i get worried.my son is doing well in school,he is good in reading, maths and science.i feel so helpless.

It does go away very often if ignored..sometimes there is no doubt children do it when it gets attention. So do try not to tell him off or even refer to it and see what happens .If it is a concern it maybe aswell to have his eyes looked at I doubt if its stress but speaking to the doctor cannot hurt and may relieve you .Good luck
