hello there i just registered myself into this site and came upon a question that was similiar to mine. i have a 27 month old son who is absolutly magnificent. the thing is for the past 2 months or so i started noticing he wasnt developing right along with kids his age in the language speech area. the other area im really concerned about is behaivoral problem. first of all he doesnt say more than 90 words he doesnt add 2 words together. he throws a tantrum over everything as small as dropping a single toy. and wont pick up wont say help me just wines and aaaah ah ah like a baby. im working on getting a speeech evaluation hearing as well. but its not just the speech im concerned about its his behaivior its not normal. im very confused on waht to do?

As you have concerns it is sensible to have your son evaluated.  I would go to your paediatrician and tell them your concerns.  He will probably need to have his hearing tested to rule that out.  A speech and language therapist should also assess his language and social interaction skills.  Does your son have any suspected sensory issues eg. does he appear deaf, cover his ears at noise, throw tantrums at haircuts/nails being cut.
Does he throw a tantrum at change or having to stop doing something.  Does he like to leave the house.
What is he like with his peer group?
Does he bring things to show you.  Does he involve you in his play?  Does he want your attention or can he play by himself for long periods of time.
Does he like TV alot.
