symptomns in 7 year old children with touretts syndromn

my 7year old shakes his head frequently, he blurts out loudly especially when i'm talking with someone else. when he's watching tv he'll stiffen up for a second repeditively this behavior started approx. 6 mo's ago. i'm taking him to his doctor next week, and would like to let him know i've sought advice for this problem. thank you sincerly concerned mom
