my son is 21mths he walks on his toes when will he come away from this .a doctor told me put stones in his pockets????????????????

My daughter is 4 1/2 and is STILL on her tiptoes. I guess she's just going to be a ballerina ;) She's always walked this way since she learned how. She says she just likes it. I mean she CAN walk normal but usually she doesn't. I don't see any harm, its kinda cute

It is a sensory thing; ...Appears to be more common in boys (just like all sensory issues)

Even if it is the only thing that worries you - I would get pediatrician to look at it so the arch of his foot develops correctly and it does not interfere with development of his gross motor - walking on steps, skipping, running, etc

My son is 5 and I have to remind him at times to walk on his "full foot".
