twiching now shrugging shoulders cod liver oil and vitamins

I have a 5 1/2 year old son.  At 3 1/2 years old, I took my son to a homeopath because he had mild sleep apnea.  The homeopath gave him some remedy and then prescribed some "alternative" vitamins called colloidal multimins liquid for adults, a berry fish oil and this thing called neuropowder probiotics. My son had an immediate reaction that day.  He started acting out in one of his programs---which wasn't typical behaviour.  At night he started twitching his body, which was something that he had never done.  The health food store person told me that he had a toxic dose of the multimins liquid, and needed to take charcoal and drink a lot of water to flush out his system.  I was too afraid to give him charcoal.  He drank a lot of water.  I phoned poison control, and they were shocked to hear some of the odd ingredients in the multimins liquid, like silver. They recommended that I go to the emergency department.  The emergency department wasn't able to do anything, except tell me not to give my son that strange product with silver and other odd products in it.  The pediatrician told me to be wary of alternative health practitioners.  She said that she could book an EEG if his behaviour continued.  Well... it took about one month until my son stopped looking pale, acting angry and twitching excessively in his sleep.  So, we didn't end up doing the EEG.  By the way, I stopped going to that homeopath. I was totally distraught.

Since that time, I have noticed that whenever I give him a lot of food that is fortified with vitamins like cereals, breads, veggie dogs etc, he will have some odd twiches.  I would stop giving him anything fortified, and he would stop.  Now at 5 1/2 years old I gave him cod liver oil which turned out to be  spoiled...rancid because it was supposed to be refrigerated.  Two weeks ago he started shrugging his shoulder and humming a lot.  The shrugging is not going away.  I have an appointment with his pediatrician on Wednesday. It looks like the colloidal multimins liquid brought something that was dormant in him, or it caused him to  become a child with problems.  I don't know if anyone has any suggestions.

No this is a first for me I know a lot of parents give their children supplements with nothing like this happening, but perhaps checking which ones they give is a good idea and reading whats in them .
