The Dr. has swithched my child's meds from Vyvance 50mg to Clonidine .1mg every 6-8 hrs. How is this going to help with his concentrating problem? I have been reading and it says it helps with aggresion and irratability which will be great, but he also has trouble concentrating in school (day dreams and taps his pencil alot). Please help me understand.
Clonidine can also be a useful treatment for children who do not respond favorably to the psychostimulant medications or who may respond well to them but have intolerable side effects. So what the doctor has done is an accepted treatment.
