very emotional 4 year old

My son will be 5 in July. My husband thinks he acts too much like a baby. When My husband tickles him he starts crying. When we try to play rough with him he starts crying. When a friend say's something mean to him he starts crying. How can we help him to not cry so much. Is this normal in boys. He will be starting soccer soon and we are afraid the first time he gets hurt he wont want to play anymore.

It sounds like you have a gentle-natured child.

I would encourage you to understand your child's natural temperment, and encourage him to do things that make him feel comfortable. I would also discourage you from doing things that make him obviously uncomfortable, like tickling him or playing rough. I would think a child would be very upset/ hurt/ confused if his parents kept playing games with him that he did not like.
