what can i do

My 9 year old ADHD son is afraid of everything an it drives me crazy, but he do not carry a fear for dangerous things. I can't get him to sleep alone but if I turn my back he will try to jump off the roof. I have to watch him like a new born baby an I have 2 younger kids I never get to sit with cause of him. I am pulling my hair out. How can I keep him safe from him self.

Reckless behavior, caused by impulsivity, is not unusual in children who display the type of ADHD that includes a hyperactive component. In addition, though, it sounds like your son displays an anxiety disorder alongside his ADHD and this invites additional evaluation. If his prescriber is a pediatrician, have him evaluated by a child psychiatrist. If he already has a psychiatrist, re-visit the medication choice and see if he might gain better benefit from either a different dose or a different medication. Also, speak with the psychiatrist about the anxiety (which can be exacerbated by stimulant medications).
