I have a 14 mo old grand daughter who really doesn't eat or drink.  It has been a problem for a long time.  She still nurses, but for a long time, has only nursed for maybe 2 minutes, so not alot of nutrition their.  She weighs only about 15 lbs, soaking wet.  The doctors are concerned, they recommended pediasure which she refuses. It really doesn't matter what she is offered, whether it be ice cream or something healhy, she will only nibble.  She had for a long time that geographical tongue issue, so then I think it was to painful to eat much.  That went on for months. Doesn't have it anymore, but could that have harmed her taste buds or anything?  It's really scary to watch her and not be able to do a thing. She is developing normally it seems.  Walked before a year, but doesn't really say much.  She is smart though and understands everything.  Any suggestions?

She is underweight for her age. Suggest her MD get her evaluated for Physical Therapy to help with her eating issues. Maybe that will help if she has not had that done already.
