my 8 months baby is refusing to eat every thing, even my home made food.It seems he does not want to start weaning.Shall i stop trying to give him food,or keep trying? I started weaning when he was 5months 2 weeks under my pediatrician advise, but i think he was not really ready to start weaning at that time.Even now he seems not that much interested to eat. When i try to give him food he start crying every time and spit every thing out from his mouth or he even not open his mouth at all.Can you help me please i dont know what to do.

Some children drink formula or breast milk until 10-12 months old and then start eating food. Yet some infants drink formula or breast milk and start eating baby food at 4-5 months old. It depends on the child. Suggest giving him formula or breast milk (whatever he normally drinks) for a few weeks without any food. Then give him, once a day, a little rice cereal for a month. The next month give him vegetables (baby food) and rice cereal twice a day in small amounts. The following month give him baby food meat, vegetable, (twice a day) and rice cereal (once day).  Then after that month introduce baby food fruits twice day with the meats and vegetables. Continue to give him the formula or breast milk. See how he takes to the baby foods. If he still is not accepting the food, then have his MD get him evaluated for learning to swallow foods.
