I also receive WIC my child's doctor referred the Enfamil Lacto Free formula and gave me the paper work to send to the WIC office. Talk to your child's doctor or the health department nurse. Enfamil does have Lacto Free formulas it is in a purple color can with bunnies on it. Sounds funny but thats what the cover of the can looks like. Good Luck. Contact your child's doctor and health department nurse and ask them about Enfamil LactoFree formula.
where do i get lacto free formula? i am in NY and havent seen anything like that. do u mean soy? im on wic and it only allows enfamil which really blows but doc told me to try gentleease which is by enfamil so we will see. im thinking about making my own formula (i believe in myself and my instincts & if this gentleease doesnt work im gonna make my own formula and see how he does w/that.) he has been growing great he was 25% now he is 70% which means he is taller than 70 out of 100 boys his age and last month he was just taller than 25 out of a100. doc was amazed at his alertness and growth spurt in last 5 weeks. everyone does say wow he is big for his age (he is 3 months dec 7th) i was on methadone when he was born and im very relieved to see him doing so well but am scared of what the future holds. it was horrid seeing him detox he was in the hosp for 31 days. i wanted to die for listening to the docs they told me to raise doses i was on 70 by his birth i wais on 160 a day. they put him on morphine and detoxd him it took 31 days of horror. poor thing but now he is doing great went to doc today and his growth is amazing. thank GOD>!!!
It sounds like he maybe colic which is problems with gas. Young infants tend to have issues with gas. If you have concerns, I suggest you mention it to his MD. Thank you for your question.
I have a 7 month old who was like that. He had issues with gas and we switched his formula when he was about 6 weeks old to Lacto-Free. Doing this helped out alot. I don't have to give him Mylicon drops like I used to. Usually colic is when a baby cries for 3 hours a day 3 times a week for 3 weeks. (they call this somekind of 3 code) but if u haven't already, talk to the doctor to see if his formula is upsetting his stomache. My son cried and cried after feedings and the doctor switched his formula and he has done great ever since. Goodluck. Remember ask about the LactoFree formula. His formula could be too strong for him.
