Baby with Low Iron on 12 month check up

I just want to ask about my baby blood result. My baby has low iron or anemia. I gave 32 oz of  enfamil next step milk  and polyvisol vitamins. Yet, still anemic. Is there anything  causing this like Thallasemia or something else. Is he too young to be anemic?

Infants do need Iron and can become anemic, in rare cases. Does the Enfamil formula have Iron in it? I suggest you have your MD do an Iron profile blood work to find out what is causing the issue. It maybe an anemia, or it maybe a lack of iron from diet and a supplement of iron would be fine. The blood work is important is get the proper treatment.
