Since the age of thirteen, I have suffered from chronic spinal pain with increased pressure on the right side of the head, as well as feelings of left side of body weakness.  Having recently been diagnosed with mild degenerative Cervical Spondylosis (better late than never), I'm sure there is a connection.  There are mild degenerative disk changes throughout the cervical spine with disk space narrowing and osteophyte formation especially from C4-5 through C6-7.
At around the age of ten, my parents divorced and I developed anorexia nervosa, as a result.  I have an uncle, a non practicing doctor, who mentioned cases where the patient has recovered from malnutrition and no longer produces certain protein(s) necessary for digestion.  I'm wondering if this idea could apply to proteins that were no longer there in the developmental process of my spine, thus leading to my condition.  I recovered around the age of thirteen when my headaches began.  The pain seems to emanate from behind the right mastoid process
Is your child male or female?

Anorexia nervosa is complex disease and may cause medical issues if severe malnutrition occurs, however, it is difficult to say if there is a connection in your case. You did not state your medical history of weight / height changes in those years to assess, and the literature states the cause of Cervical Spondylosis is the aging process of the neck bones.
