Mucus in stools

My little man Zen's stools have been of all kinds in the last 2 weeks
They started off as the normal color but watery for 3 days, changing his nappy every hour
To being the normal color but frothy for 2 days
Then watery but more of a green color for another 5 days
and today each stool is fluro green and looks like mucus.
I am overly concerned now as i have taken him to the doctors 3 times.

First time they said he was fine well hydrated its just diarrhea
The second time they tested his blood sugar level it came back fine.
The third time They took a sample of his stool and they found no bacteria so it should settle down in the next couple of days this was 4 days ago now. And his stools are mucus!!

He has had a very conjested nose the last 3 weeks befor the runs, but he is feeding normal, He has no temperature, he is alert and smiling, He has not lost any weight and is well hydrated... Should i be concerned?

Are you breast feeding him? Breast fed babies will at times have stool that can be green color. You stated he has been congested. If it has not cleared up, suggest going to the Doctor again.

Hello, I have nursed 6 children and am a nurse who has worked in several pediatric clinics and they do at times have frothy runny stools.  Greenish is usually something you are eating that they dont like.  Check with lots of veggies.  If the baby is not loosing weight and is pleasant   I would not worry too much.  Mucous if ingested through a stuffy nose will also come through the diaper and could cause the stomache to be irritated.   Most importantly is how the baby is acting, sleeping, wetting, Typically if there is something wrong, there are other symptoms.  Very irritable, screaming like with stomache pains, fever,  Keep an eye on the skin in his diaper.  If their are allergies you may sometimes see severe diaper rash.  It does seem early but all of my children were very mucousy as they were teething.  Once the tooth popped out it went away, Good luck
