Refusing Bottle - Losing Weight

My daughter is a twin and has been said  to have food protien induces enterocolitis syndrome.  Her symptoms have included colic, pain, gas, cramping, constipation, diarrhea, blood and mucous in stool.  At 2 months old she was put on an amino acid based formula.  Symptoms improved and she did great following her curve in 25th percentile.  Introduced solids at 6 months and she reacted to rice and sweet potato.  Following GI dr's orders we continued these foods to be sure.  Shortly after saw an allergist who took her off food to let gut heal and chronic yeast diaper rash heal completely b/f trying next food.  That was almost 2 months ago and the diaper rash has still not healed.  We tried neocate medical food and my daughter dot worse with that (alos amino acid based).  She is not 9 months and not on any solids.  About 4 weeks ago she began refusing her bottle.  I am back to feeding her for hours on end just to get her to 20-22 ounces in a day.  We mix formula at 24 cal/oz.  She just started losing weight.  I am not sure how much.  She was chubby and perfect wieght and is now thin, low tone, and 5th percentile.  We are seeing a new dr. who is a family md and environmental specialist.  He believes yeast is a problem in the intestine and causing a leaky gut which will make her have an "allergic" reaction to EVERY food we offer until it is healed.  We are desperate to get onto food.  Do you see anything we may be missing?

Her weight and height is just below the 10th percentile for her age which indicates she is still within normal range for her age.  If your daughter has Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES), then you should avoid cow milk based and soy based formulas. Use breast milk or Alimentuim formula which it seems you are using from your question. When you advance to food you need to avoid cereals (oats, rice, barely), poultry (chicken, turkey), and legumes (peas, lentils and beans). FPIES is resolved by the age of 3 years old, however, your Allergist need to determine that. Suggest you use an Allergist for treatment.
