Stopped eating. Doesn't eat anymore

My 10 month old is only 18lbs and has always had weight issues. It has alwasy been a struggle to feed him. He has never been interested in food at all. He refueses to eat any solids completely. The past month or two he has been eating about 30 ounces of soy formula (which takes about an hour to feed it to him). Well, the past two weeks he has been suddenly refusing his bottles. The most we can get him to eat is 20 ounces at the most a day. We are freaking out that our son will starve. We have taken him to several appointments to get checked out and everything seems to be working just fine and nobody seems to know what the issue is. Today our son is getting some tests done to see if he has Acid Reflux. In the meantime our son is not eating but 10 - 15 ounces a day. We don't know what to do and are afraid for our son. This morning he only ate 2 ounces and didn't have any urine in his diaper. He always has a full diaper in the morning. Is he dehydrated? Do we need to take him to the ER and have tubes put in him for food? All the doctor's we have seen don't seem to have any answers for us or have any sense of urgeny on the matter when our son is eating less and less every day. Someone please help, what to do we need to do for our son to get him to eat?

Thanks,
Skylar

His weight is just above the 5th percentile and his height is on the 25th percentile for his age (from the measurements you wrote). I do not know what his weight pattern has been prior to this; however, his weight is still in within the growth chart. You are upset and you have every right to be, however children can easily 'read' when their mothers are tense and upset. Try to relax when you are feeding him, give your full attention to him, and see what happens. If that does not work, suggest try to giving him formula in a 'sippy' cup and try giving him some finger foods due to being close to a year old. Hoped this helped you.
