Stunted Growth

Stunted Growth

My son is small, and we have just learned of food allergies, and I am concerned that we are stunting his growth by the foods that he eats. He also is an asthmatic. He is allergic to wheat, gluten, eggs, rye, casein, cheese, and grasses. We have been told that his body rejects the nutrients in the foods with these ingredients and he gains no nutrients. We also give him protien shakes, trying to keep engery levels up. He was never on the growth chart from birth, born very average ( 7 lbs   18.5 inches long) but he seems to grow close to 2 inches each year.. He fails to put on weight and we have changed his diet for the last 5 months and are not seeing a change in his weight. I am just cooncerned. We have failed to change sizes of clothes for 3 years now. I am trying to avoid a complex about his size in my child. Please help.
