aching limbs

Hi My son is 10 years old and when he wakes up and gets out of bed, he walks with great pains in his legs, ankles and feet.  We took him to see the doctor and she said it could be growing pains but to be on the safe side recommended that he have his feet x rayed, which he did have done, we are still awaiting the results.  My husband thinks that it may be that he doesnt eat enough fruit - is this a possibility, and if not, what could it be?

Thank you in anticipation

Lower potassium levels may give pains/cramps in the legs, however, potassium is in fruit (bananas, oranges, etc), potatoes, and vegetables so he may not have low potassium. If you are concerned have the doctor do blood work for his potassium levels.
