help four month old is refusing to eat

my four month old has been not eating that good for the past two days he has been refusing the breast he sucks for a like a minute and then starts to cry. i just got me bc change to Ogestrel a wk ago. i am wondering if maybe my milk supply has gone down, maybe thats the cause for him not wanting to eat. i have tryed giving him a bottle and he drinks a little bit but still isnt much he drinks under a ounce. i am worried that hes not getting enough. what do i do. i feed him baby cereal twice a day once in the morning and in the night. he eats really good on that but when it comes to breast feeding he gets fussy. in the morings he is good but towards the afternoon to night he gets fussy and not wanting anything. please help me understand what he is doing.

Have you changed your eating habits? The breast milk is affected by the mom's eating certain foods. If you have not, I suggest pumping your milk and see how much is produced. If it is enough for your child then you are producing enough.  If it is not then, he needs to go on infant formula. Do not fell guilty, if that is the case, because your son has had the benefit of your breast milk for 4 months. Or you can try to give him some infant formula and see how he reacts. If he reacts the same as when you feed him from the breast, then have him checked by his MD for gastric issues. Thank you for your question.

My son was the same, check for thrush which can make eating hurt and for some reason my son will only eat if he's totally asleep, they suck out of instict but are too relaxed to care about pain, it's really annoying but it's stressful when they won't eat.
