help gain weight

My daughter is 8 years old and has ADD.  Her medication is helping her so much in school but she doesn't have an appatite.  We have tried several differend ADD meds and they all have the same effect on her appatite.  What can I do to help gain just a little and keep her at a healthy weight?

Her weight is on the 25th percentile and her height is above the 95th percentile for her age. Suggest giving her nutrient dense drinks and meals. She would get additional calories and protein within a small amount of food. They can have the milkshakes (milk, ice cream, and banana-if accepted blended together) or make yogurt smoothies (yogurt, fresh fruit, and frozen fruit) at meals (in place of the milk) or as a snack. Some tips for additional calories: If they like pasta, then add meat or cream sauces to the pasta instead of plain tomato sauce or plain pasta. Add dry milk to oatmeal, mashed potatoes, gravies, creamed vegetables, and creamed soups (add additional meats to soups). Have a protein source at each meal --- meat / fish or cheese or yogurt; with a carbohydrate --- bread, pasta, rice, cereal; and a fat ---- pat of butter or mayonnaise if you make a sandwich. Use all fat dairy products and no low fat foods. As she grow and gain weight after a few years, then you can go to lower fat dairy items. Hoped this helped you.
