hi my 10 month old daughter has a feeding tube and is on a high calorie milk formula called infatrini. She has had problems gaining weight since her birth she arrived 4 weeks early and spent 4 week in nnu as she had no detectable sugar level. She also had very poor muscle tone. She also had a problem with vomiting until abut 4 months ago. She continues to have problems with her weight ( although she is currently in proportion due to the formula she is on) and with drinking fluid her current doctor can find no reason for this and is doing no further test to find the cause of it. I am really worried as she is showing no sign of growing out of it. Do you have any idea what could be causing this.

Your daughter has been through a lot. From what you have stated things have settled down, such as no vomiting, and hopefully she will start to gain weight. If she is not gaining weight, then suggest either increasing the tube feed rate or change tube feed formulas to a 1.5 or 2 calorie per cc. Has your MD considered starting her on baby food, if tolerated, along with the tube feed? That would help her gain weight.
