mucus in stool

mucus in stool

My daugther is 6 months old. She has been having loose stool and mucus in her stool for the past 3 months.  We have consulted and doctor has said that it is because of milk allergy.  Hence mother has stopped intaking of any form of milk product.  But the situation has not changed till.  The child is only breast fed  and often a mixture of rice powder. Is this any other symptom indication.  WE are a bid worried.  Please help us.  She passes stool with great discomfort.  please help us with your valuable suggestions.

thanks in advance

As a guideline for a 6-8 month old child should eat the following: Breast-milk or Formula (6-8oz) 3-5 feedings a day. Starch 2 feedings a day – Infant Cereal (2-4 Tbsp), Crackers (2), and Fruits or Vegetables 1-2 feedings a day – (3-4 Tbsp). By giving her strained fruits and vegetables it may help the stool be of a different consistency and she may not have difficulty. If this does not help, suggest seeing another Doctor.
