i have a 3 year old daughter who is so energetic, and shows no signs of weekness in anyway. today i took her to the doctor for a regular chekup and it turned out that she has not gained any weight or height for the past 6 month. the doctor ordered some blood tests for her. i just need to know to what extent i should be worried, please help
From your measurements her weight is just above the 50th percentile and her height is between the 10-25th percentile for her age. She is still in the Growth Chart ranges for her age. Suggest waiting to find out the results of the blood work. In the mean time, suggest giving her Pediasure or milkshakes (milk and ice cream blended), or yogurt smoothies (yogurt, fruit, and ice cream), in place of milk at all meals, for additional calories and protein for weight gain.
