my son he never took breast milk, as a result i had to start with the bottle formula. but then sooner by 6 months he quit drinking milk from the bottle too. he does not seem to like the taste of milk. also he sometimes have long duration between his feeding, specially the night. he has almost 12 hours gap between his dinner and his first morning feed. as he does not take the bottle i cant feed him in sleep. have to wait till he wakes up. please advise me as i am really worried for my son.

It is unclear how old your son is from your question. I am gather he is around 6 months old or older. If that is the case, his weight is above the 75th percentile and his height is above the 95th percentile for a 6 month old. If he is sleeping through the night, that is good. Since he will not drink milk then make sure he has protein from other sources such as: dairy products - yogurt, cheeses, pudding, and meats. From the plant world there are complete proteins such as soy products - soy milk, soy yogurt, soy pudding, and soy ice cream. Incomplete proteins you need to combine foods such as beans and rice, pasta with vegetables, peanut butter and bread, nuts in salad, and beans with pasta (if he is older than 10 months old). You can try any of the above to get protein in him for each meal.
