His weight is between the 10-5th percentile and his height is on the 10th percentile for his age. At his age you can try infant cereal, 2-3 tablespoons infant cereal mixed with infant formula or breast milk once or twice a day to help gain weight. Children, who develop issues with acid reflux, can benefit from the following suggestions. The feeding position is important and should be almost a sitting up position when feeding him. Never lay him down on his back right after eating or 1 – ½ hour after feeding because the acid from the stomach goes into the esophagus and causes pain. Raise the head of his crib to a 45-degree angle too so he are not flat on his back. Feeding him 5-6 times day can help which you can start with 3-4ozs at each feeding and increase as he tolerates the formula. Feeding that way keeps the stomach acid constant which helps the reflux, he grows, and weight increases at a steady pace. Hoped this helped you.
