There aren't really any thin males in the family.......we have been to a gastroenterologist and he has been through many many tests, everything he could think of checking....also blood work for diabetes and thyroid, etc all came back ok.....this started a few years ago.....before that he had "more meat on his bones" and looked so much healthier.....will try the shakes.....I don't think he'll drink the Ensure, I tried that a while ago and he didn't like the taste.....thanks for your advice

His weight is on the 5th percentile and his height is just above the 10th percentile for his age. He may be thin due to genetics. Are there thin males in the family? Try having him eat 5-6 small meals a day to help him from becoming 'sick to his stomach'. Suggest he drinks milkshakes (milk and ice cream blended) or Ensure 2-3 times a day to help him gain weight or maintain his weight.
