2 1/2 year old will not reply to questions

My 2 1/2 year old daughter can quote ABC's, identify colors, people, & animals, and can count to 15, but she refuses to reply to yes/no questions (she understands no as meaning stop) and refuses to reply to other sorts of simple questions. She will repeat a word if we as "Can you say '....'?" but she doesn't respond to most other direct communication. She just stares at us blankly.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

I doubt it ,toddlers listen and store information for later use, a study shows, this is a very common question so I think it is part of them learning.If you are concerned more you could ask your Doctor to check her hearing to make sure all is well there.
