Central Auditory Processing Disorder CAPD

This is the latest diagnosis that my 6 year old son may possibly have. Does anyone have any knowledge about this? Has anyone read any good books about this? Can anyone give me any advice from their own experience with this? What I have read on the internet about this disorder sounds exactly like my son and it pretty much covers most of his other diagnosis. I was told by the Dr. that this can not be tested for until he is 7 yrs. 9 months. I was wondering if anyone else has had success in treating this? Please tell me what worked for you.

my daughter was diagnosed with around the age of 9 or so....it hasn't really affected her accept in school....she is now 13...she has to pay better attention and take notes... I didn't notice anything the school was the one to recognize...
