Chromosome Deletion?

Chromosome Deletion?

My 6mth old grandson has cried ALOT since he was born.  When I say this, I mean for HOURS for no apparent reason.  His mother says he is just "high maintenance" and has even asked why isn't he "normal".  He has had his formula changed 4 times, been diagnosed with reflux, gas, colic, separation anxiety, etc.  Yet, nothing seems to help.  Anyone that has been around him comments on his seemingly "miserable" state.  I noticed he hates people around, ANY noises, eye contact, etc.  When feeding him, if you look at him, he SCREAMS.  If you speak, no matter how sweet, soft, whatever- he SCREAMS.  His mom says you have to wrap him up VERY tight in a blanket, put him in a dark room, by himself for him to go to sleep.  I don't know what it could be, however, my nephew has a chromosome deletion and if I remeber correctly, he had many of the same issues.  In addition, they both have larger heads, and tiny bodies for their age.  My grandson is in the 5th percentile of growth, wearing 0-3mth sizes still.  Any ideas, or similiar experiences would be welcomed.

I have no similar experience , except that when babies cry as you decribe it is from pain, colic or something wrong... it may be a good idea to take him back to the doctor and ask for another check up.I dont think wrapping a 6 month old up tight and placing him in a dark room is a good idea, it may be contributing to the problem does that happen a lot?
